Archive Products: Deleting Products while Preserving Records

If you’re using Wholechain and need to remove a product from your account, you can do so by archiving it.

Archiving does not delete the product from your historical records on the blockchain; instead, it removes it from your active list, making it unavailable for future use. This process is useful for managing products that you no longer wish to track actively.

Here’s a simple guide on how to archive a product:

1. Navigate to the Products Page: Start by accessing the Products page from the left-side menu in your Wholechain account.
2. Select the Product: Find the product you want to archive from your list.
3. Hover Over the Actions Button: Move your mouse over the Actions button next to the product.
4. Access Archive Option: A drop-down menu will appear. Click on the option that says “Archive.”
5. Confirm the Action: A warning message will prompt you to confirm your choice. Click “Archive” again to confirm.
6. Completion Notification: The product will be removed from your active list, and a message will appear at the top of your screen to confirm that the product has been archived successfully.

By following these steps, you can efficiently clean up your product list while ensuring that all your historical data remains intact. Archiving helps keep your Wholechain account organized, allowing you to focus on the products you are actively managing.
