Archive Trade Items: Deleting Trade Items while Preserving Records

If you’re using Wholechain and need to remove a trade item from your account, you can do so by archiving it.

Archiving the trade item does not delete the trade item from your historical records on the blockchain; instead, it removes it from your active list, making it unavailable for future use. This process is useful for managing trade items that you no longer wish to track actively.

Note: You can only archive Trade Items that currently have zero active inventory.

To Archive a Trade Item:

  1. Navigate to Trade Items
  2. Find the Trade Item you would like to archive.

If you plan to reuse the Trade Item Identifier currently in the Trade Item you want to archive, you must remove the Trade Item Identifier prior to archiving the Trade Item. To remove the Trade Item Identifier, click on the Trade Item. Delete the Trade Item Identifier. Click the check mark or click Enter to delete the Trade Item Identifer.

  1. On the right hand side of the trade item, click the 3 dots and then click 'Archive'.

  1. Confirm the Action: A warning message will prompt you to confirm your choice. Click 'Archive' again to confirm.
  2. Completion Notification: The trade item will be removed from your active list, and a message will appear at the top of your screen to confirm that the product has been archived successfully.

By following these steps, you can efficiently clean up your product list while ensuring that all your historical data remains intact. Archiving helps keep your Wholechain account organized, allowing you to focus on the products you are actively managing.
