Aggregate

Aggregate events document when multiple items are physically grouped together, typically for the purposes of shipping or storing. The individual items being aggregated can be identified by both their individual identifiers (i.e. batch or serial number) as well as the pallet/container they have been aggregated into. With an Aggregate event, there is always the intention of disaggregating the product items again later downstream in the supply chain.

1
Navigate to the Products page on the left-side menu
2
Select the product that contains the items you want to aggregate
3
Using the checkboxes on the left side of the Current Inventory tab, select the items you wish to aggregate and click Actions > Aggregate
4
You'll be able to enter the quantities of the input items you're aggregating, with the option of only including a portion of a line item
5
Assign the aggregation a Logistical Unit ID (such as an SSCC), and select the date the aggregation occurred
6
Click Log Event. After the record is written to the blockchain, your aggregation will appear in the Current Inventory tab, but will have a "+" icon to the left of the Primary ID that you can click to view its contents. Now you can treat the aggregated product just like a single product item and log events with it such as Ship or Disaggregate

Note: Each time you log an Aggregate event, only one event record is written to the blockchain. When you disaggregate the items, the number of blockchain confirmations will match the number of items you are disaggregating. Learn more about how blockchain confirmations are calculated here
