Disaggregate

A Disaggregate event in Wholechain represents when products that have been previously aggregated for storage or shipment are separated back out into discrete, traceable items. By nature, a Disaggregate event must begin with an aggregated item in your product’s Current Inventory. As soon as you log a Disaggregate event, each of the original product items will be separated back out into their own individual lines within your inventory, ready for further traceability events.

Navigate to the Products page on the left-side menu

Select the product that contains the aggregated item you want to disaggregate

In the Current Inventory tab, select the aggregated item you wish to disaggregate using the checkbox on the left and click Actions > Disaggregate

You'll be prompted to select a disaggregation date, as well as confirm the quantities / units of measure of the input items you are disaggregating. This is to account for any product UOM changes that may have occurred when shipping/receiving the product between locations

Click Log Event and once the records are written to the blockchain, you'll see the individual contents of the aggregation appear as their own product items again

Note: The number of blockchain confirmations logged in a Disaggregate event will match the number of items you are disaggregating. Learn more about how blockchain confirmations are calculated here.
