Select a product's Event Data Sharing preference

When creating any new product in Wholechain, the last information you will have to fill in is the Product Data Sharing Policy. This will affect how the companies in your Network will view and share any events containing this product that have been shipped to them. Note that you will only be able to adjust this when creating your product, so it’s important to know the difference between your two Data Sharing options:

Open Data Sharing:

Downstream Wholechain users can see and share all events and event data that involve this particular product. Upstream event records along the same supply chain as this product will be visible only if those events’ products have Open Data Sharing as well.

Restricted Data Sharing:

Downstream Wholechain users can only see and share Ship Event records containing this product that my business has sent. No other events containing this product will be visible.
