Transform with multiple products

Every Transform event in Wholechain is composed of inputs and outputs. Transforming with multiple products allows you to combine multiple products to make a single output product, or take one product and transform it into multiple output products. The following are a couple of examples of transforming with multiple products:

  • Inputs = Milk and Cocoa, Output = Hot Chocolate
  • Input = Head of cattle, Outputs = Flank, Ribs, Sirloin

The steps for transforming multiple products are the same as Manual or CSV Upload, except you’ll add tabs in the Input and Output sections of your Transform event drawer to incorporate additional products.

  • Multiple Input Product(s): Click on the add icon (+) next to the Product 1 tab if you are adding multiple input products in your Transform event. Then select the additional product, items and quantities you'll be combining under each tab.
  • Multiple Output Product(s): Click on the add icon (+) next to the Product 1 tab if your transformation should result in multiple output products. Follow the same steps, using either CSV or Manual data entry, in each tab to specify the output items. Note that the CSV process is only different than a normal Transform Event with CSV upload in that there is one additional column where you need to specify what the Output Product is for each line.
  • Click Log Event on the bottom right corner. You’ll be able to find your output items under the Current Inventories of the different products you transformed into.

Note: One Transform event may include multiple input products as well as multiple output products. An example would be flour, egg and water combining to create three different types of pasta.
